I apologize for the lack of real updates lately.  I've been spending a lot of time looking at ways at updating the look & navigation of the site so hopefully soon I'll be able to start implementing changes.  The photo gallery is not up to par with what I'm wanting and as soon as I get it fixed up I'll start working on the video section.  Keep checking back because I'll get it all up and running here in the not too distant future.  I've just got to find the time!

Congratulations to David Knight for winning two in a row!  I'd say he's definitely got this game figured out.  It's just too bad Juha isn't around this year.  I think they'd have some awesome battles up front.  We sat near Knight at the restaurant Saturday night and I ordered the same food he did but I guess it worked out a little better for him!  Unfortunately I was a little under the weather and a flat tire on the first lap didn't help things either!  If you want to read more you can check out the race recap in the results section.

There's an article from the OMA race up at Cycle News online. Click here to see.  Also, don't forget to set you VCR's or TIVO's to catch the repeat showing of the Vero Beach GNCC.  It's on the Versus Network (formerly OLN) this Thursday at 3pm central time.  The shows are only 30 minutes on TV but they also have DVD's available to buy that are supposed to be a lot longer and more in depth.  I'm looking foward to seeing them!

Racer X Illustrated has a photo report from the GNCC on their website.  They even ran a picture of me which really surprised me when I saw it.  Click here for the link.  Thanks Racer X!

I just got back in from the race so it may take me a little bit before I get the race recap and pictures up but hopefully I can get it done today or tomorrow!  If you've read the race report on the GNCC site you already know I got 2nd, but if you haven't heard anything about the race yet, click here to get the scoop.

There hasn't been much to report on lately.  After North Carolina we stripped my bike down and tried to go over everything.  We also sent the suspension out to be revalved.  It seemed like it took forever to get it back!  In fact, I was just able to ride a little bit on it yesterday.

It's almost time to leave for South Carolina so wish me luck!  I'll be sure to let you know how it all went when I get back!

Just wanted to wish all of the Arkansas Hare Scramble riders out there a safe and fun time at Superlift this weekend.  I wish I were going to be at the race this weekend but I've got to keep trying this GNCC thing!  I hope to see everyone at Wildcat though!  I'm leaving for North Carolina on Friday evening and I think we're going to get a few hours of driving out of the way in order to get to the track a little earlier on Saturday.  They're calling for record highs this weekend in that area but that just means it'll be mid-70's!  Sounds like pretty good riding weather to me!  Check back here Monday morning and I'll have my race report up with some pictures.  Hopefully everything goes good!

March 16, 2007

Race reports have been posted for GNCC Rounds 1 and 2.  I'm going to be messing around with the site layout soon so you may notice some slight changes over the next few weeks.   Oh, I almost forgot!  I should be #338 for the rest of the GNCC series so be sure to look for me at the races!

March 12, 2007

Well that was quite a busy week!  I have to apologize for the lack of site updates.  We had some neat things planned but became overwhelmed with all of the other things that unexpectedly came up that we just could not get it done like we had hoped.   As for the races themselves, they were definitely interesting  Look for the race recaps soon!

This will probably be my final update until early next week when we're in Florida.  We're going to hopefully have some updates and maybe even some pictures and video to post while we're there so be sure to check back often!  Monday is a practice day and then Tuesday we go racing.  Should be fun!

It's been a pretty hectic few months trying to get everything worked out in order to make all of the GNCC's this year.  When discussing some of the expenses and realizing that I don't exactly have a long list of sponsors to fall back on,  a friend suggested that maybe I try to sell posters or T-Shirts to try to help offset some of the cost.  I told him he was crazy and that no one would probably buy any but he insisted and took the initiative to get some posters made up himself.  They're 11"x17" and I'll have them with me at the races for $10 if you'd like one.  I guess I could even sign it for you if you want!  If you're unable to make it to any races but would still like one just send me an e-mail at joshweisenfels@gmail.com and we'll work something out!  Here's what they look like:

I guess you could say I had an exciting weekend!  On Friday I decided that it might be a good idea to race a Mid-South Hare Scramble in Kentucky as a warm-up race for the season.  It was about 8 and a half hours from Fort Smith so it was also a warm-up for all the driving we're going to be doing this year!  The race recap (with a few pictures) should be up soon on the results page if you want to check it out.

I picked up my new bike over this past weekend and have been spending a lot of time getting it ready. I was planning on getting a blue one but all they had left at Bill Eddy Motorsports was white!  Can't say that I'm disappointed, however.  I think it looks really good!  Other than that I've just been at the gym getting in shape for this season.  The first Arkansas race is just over two weeks away which I'm pretty excited about.  Since I've yet to actually race the 250F I'm looking forward to using the Arkansas race as a bit of a test session for the upcoming GNCC's.  We'll be adding a few pictures here shortly of my first day riding the new bike.  We also have a lot of other pretty cool things planned so keep checking back!

February 1, 2007

Hey everyone, we're in the process of getting my new website up and running so be sure to check back often for updates.  A lot's been going on here lately but it looks like I'm going to be racing the new XC2 Pro class in the GNCC series this year on a YZ250F.  The XC2 class is limited to 125 two strokes and 250 four strokes so it should be a lot of fun racing with everyone.  The first race is coming up in just over a month,  in Vero Beach, Florida, so I'm working really hard to prepare for it.   I'll also be hitting as many Arkansas Hare Scramble races as I can on the weekends I'm not traveling.  Thanks for visiting my site and I hope everyone has a great 2007 season.  See you at the races!
